The Supreme Court upheld and Orissa High Court judgment of life term sentence for Dara Singh on January 11, 2011 in New Delhi. Dara Singh was main accused of burning to death Australian Christian missionary Grahm S. Staines and his minor sons Philip Staines and Timothy Stains on the night of January 22, 1999 at Manoharpur in Orissa. A trial court in Orissa found Dara Singh guilty and awarded death sentence to Dara for brutally killing Graham Stains and his minor sons. But the Orissa High court commuted the death sentence of Data to life term imprisonment. Supreme Court upheld the decision of the Orissa High Court.
